Huntington Rib & Music Fest Announces Sunday Entertainment

Huntington, WV – The 15th Annual Huntington Rib & Music Fest, plans to entertain visitors throughout the entire weekend.

This year’s festival runs August 12-15, at Harris Riverfront Park, Huntington WV. The Huntington Rib & Music Fest is a four day event designed specifically as a summer riverfront food and entertainment festival and attracts over 18,000 people annually. The Rib & Music Fest features mouth watering, finger licking good ribs and barbeque chicken, prepared by some of the best “Ribbers” in the United States. The Festival also features specialty food vendors such as Bloomin’ Onions, Rick’s Lemonade, Strawberry Express, and Kettle Korn plus many others.

The Huntington Rib & Music Fest provides musical entertainment for everyone. Each day offers a different type of music featuring national & local bands sure to delight the young and old. Musial entertainment includes; Travis Tritt & Savannah Jack presented by WTCR on Thursday night, The Spinners & The Crystals presented by B97 & WKEE on Friday night, The Little River Band &The Georgia Satellites presented by the PLANET & the DAWG on Saturday night, and local entertainment on Sunday presented by Rock 105 & the Mix.

Sunday, August 15th is Coca Cola Family Day with $1 admission. The classic car show begins at 11 a.m. and the Boatmen will kick off the final day of musical entertainment at 12 p.m. This year, rib vendor awards will be presented earlier in the day allowing guests the opportunity to go out and sample the award winning ribs and sauces before the festival comes to a close. The awards will be presented by Sandra Cole at 1:30 p.m. C&S Railroad will take the stage at 2 p.m. Jeff Ellis will bring the weekend to a close starting at 3:45 p.m.

This year the 4-day pass is back! All 4-day passes can be purchased in advance for $15 through Friday, August 13 and are available at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, online at Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. After the festival begins they will also be available to the gate on Thursday & Friday. All 4-day passes are valid anytime Thursday – Sunday. Daily adult admission is $8 after 5pm. $5 adult admission is available on Friday & Saturday before 5pm only. On Sunday, it’s Coca Cola $1 family day with $1 adult admission. And don’t forget kids 12 & under are FREE all weekend with a paid adult admission!

The Huntington Rib & Music Fest also presents The Kiddie Korral sponsored by St. Mary’s Medical Center. Activities include FREE inflatables, a local caricature artist, face painting, pig races, and a petting zoo.

Back by popular demand, the Annual Bike show on Saturday afternoon presented by the Huntington Motorcycle Club and the Rollin’ On the River Car Show on Sunday!

Huntington Rib & Music Fest hours are: Thursday, August 12, from 5:00pm to 11:00pm; Friday, August 13, from 11:00am to 11:00pm; Saturday, August 14, from 11:00am to 11:00pm; Sunday, August 15, from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

All tickets for the Huntington Rib & Music Fest are on sale now. If purchased in advance daily tickets are $8 for adults. Children 12 & under are free all weekend with paid adult admission. Big Sandy Superstore Arena is the largest entertainment venue in the tri-state. The arena hosts concerts, family shows, trade shows, regional and state athletic competitions.
