to go on Summer Cruise Tour” BB Riverboats has announced that its
flagship, the Belle of Cincinnati, will be embarking on a 12-day
Summer Cruise Tour to 5 river cities this July 14th through July

has been around since 1985 serving singles in the Tri-State Area.
Our dances are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month (due to change
of locations we will have to adjust our schedule for a few months)
with 2 special dances each year (Halloween Party and New Year's
Party). We have a DJ at each dance and great food supplied by the
SpeakEasy Board Members and other members bring in homemade food
that is GREAT! We are also alcohol free, but we do sell water, cokes
and coffee at the dances. Membership is $16.00 year, but not required.
Member benefits include a monthly newsletter and discount admission
to almost all SpeakEasy events. We have an average of 160 people
attend the monthly dances with an age range of 30-70 and both members
and non-members sponsor other events of interest to singles (dinners,

July 25th, 2009 at 2:00 PM - The Third Annual WV State Harmonica
Championship sponsored by Picnic with the Pops, will be on July
25th at 2pm. It is part of The 5th Annual Hotdog Festival. The event
takes place near Pullman Square in downtown Huntington, WV. First
place prize is $200, second place is $100, and third place is $50.
The registration fee is a $10 donation to the Cabell Huntington
Hospital Children's Oncology unit. The WV Championship will begin
with The Harmonica Club leading all the contestants in a group jam.
This will let the contestants get a feel for the stage and microphones
as well as getting everyone warmed up and ready to go. There will
be both traditional and blues tunes played in the jam. After the
group jam, each contestant will have 5 minutes to perform 2 tunes.

After the event, the Huntington Symphonic Orchestra will host Picnic
with the Pops at Harris Riverfront Park. Gates open at 5pm with
the main show starting at 8pm. Admission is $10. Members of The
Harmonica Club will also be there, to perform some pre-show tunes.
The WV Championship is hosted by The Harmonica Club from Huntington,
WV. The group was founded in 2001. It meets weekly on Tuesday night
from 7-9 at a local coffee shop called The Java Joint located on
the corner of 3rd avenue and 16th street. The members of club want
harmonica players of all ages and all levels of playing to come
and compete. Last year 14 players participated. The club's hope
is to meet, share, and bring together all the harmonica players

FOREST PICNIC Sunday, July 26th, 2009 - Shelter #5 - 2pm-6pm MEMBERS
$4, NON-MEMBERS $6... RAIN OR SHINE (We have a shelter rented) Speakeasy
will provide hamburgers and grilled chicken, soft drinks, water
and paper products and utensils. Please bring desserts or other
covered dishes. There will be an entry fee of $4 for members and
$6 for non-members. This will help pay for the cost of the basic
food and the shelter. Please bring board games, card games, corn
hole games, horseshoes, bug spray, sun screen and lawn chairs, etc.
The olympic size pool has been reopened after being closed for 2
years - totally remodelled so bring your bathing suit if you want
to take a swim in the updated pool after picnining. Children are

seven miles south of Charleston, West Virginia, Kanawha State Forest
is in close proximity to the heavily populated Kanawha Valley and
is a recreational haven. Some of the state's most popular picnic
areas are here, along with significant hiking, mountain biking,
and cross-country skiing opportunities. A playground attracts families
during the summer season and the fully equipped campground is one
of the few in the Charleston area. The 9,300-acre forest is noted
among naturalists for its diverse wildflower and bird populations.
Rich cove forest sites provide nesting habitat for 19 species of
wood warblers, a feature which draws birders from as far away as
Canada. Playground - Children's playgrounds are located throughout
the forest and in the various picnic areas. Hunting/Fishing - Properly
licensed individuals are welcome to hunt or fish in-season, in specified
areas. Fishing opportunities are available at the two-acre Ellison
Pond. Fishing is restricted to children 10 years of age and under
and Class Q license holders from March 1 through May 31. The remainder
of the year is open to anyone properly licensed. The pond is stocked
with trout, bass and bluegill. Shooting range - The shooting range
provides covered shooting stalls for convenience of users. Only
paper targets are allowed. The forest range is open daily and is
free to the public. From I-64 in Charleston, take Exit 58A, drive
south on US 119. Turn left onto Oakwood Rd. at the second stop light,
(following the brown and white routing signs)go 3/4 mile and take
a left before George Washington High School continuing on Oakwood
Road, turn right onto Bridge Rd., and right onto Connell Rd. At
the bottom of Connell, make a sharp left onto Kanawha Forest Drive,
follow to the forest entrance. The shelter is approximately 4 miles
from the entrance...Plan to spend the day - the shelter has a fireplace
and we can use it in the evening if needed. GPS navigation coordinates
